I'd like to do parts of the MacIntyre range, especially Algonquin over a weekend and was wondering what the best route/starting point is.
I was thinking of arriving at the Loj late Friday afternoon/early evening and going from there. Our group could simply hike into the Dam, camp and then head up Whale Tail and then on to Wright, Algonquin and Iroquois before heading down to camp on Lake Colden on Saturday. Then on Sunday hike avalanche pass back to our cars at the Loj.
Is this too ambitious or a pretty standard route with a full pack?
Thanks in advance for your input.
