Can anyone share information on the paddle from Sanford Lake to Rich Lake on the Hudson please?

You probably mean Sanford to Harris, right? Rich lake is upstream of Harris and the Hudson.
MDB and I were just on the upper Hudson and the Opalescent yesterday...not the best of days.
There are navigable sections below and including Sanford Lake. Below the Opalescent confluence is about 5 miles of river with only a 16 ft drop. When we crossed over the river at the bridge near Tahawus club, it looked really bony, gage at Newcomb is less than 120 ft^3/sec. Below that bridge, the river drops over 150 ft in the 7 miles to the Rt 28N bridge. You would need much more water to paddle all of that.

BTW, the Opalescent was pretty shallow and had a surprisingly strong current...we were wimps and gave up after a mile or two of upstream battle, torrential rain and relentless deer flies, like I said, it was not the best of days.

      Thanks for the reply.

We hiked down the boulder field below the bridge a ways and its pretty miserable, not enough water to run so a lot of lining and stumbling over rocks. Cloud Splitter Outfitters tells us there is about 2 -3 miles of boulder/ rock gardens likely a twisted ankle or broken ribs in there somewhere..
