Anyone else notice that this site has been down for the last couple days?

Yeah, it should be back up in a day or two. I'm in the process of switching web hosting providers, and its not going well, as you can see.

Thanks! I appreciate it. That is my "go to" site for mapping, and it's a great contribution you have made!

I noticed this is not working. Has something changed. Great map, hate to lose it. Thanks!

          Still down, unfortunately.

Justin was kind enough to forward these discussions to Colden46, the owner of the site. But I have not heard any updates.

For anyone who didn't see the post on the other thread, the site should be back up again. Sorry about that!

              Hi again, Colden46.

I think Google has changed some settings again - the Topo Map Browser site is showing a message from Google saying that the site cannot download Google Maps. So if you can update it when you have time, that would be great.

Thanks for your work creating this wonderful free resource!

For now you should be able to use http://adirondack-park.net/newtopo/

I’ll get the old one switched over to point to that one soon.

This is a pretty great map that has a ton of old topos.

                      Bumping this thread back up.

Colden46, if you are still here, I noticed that adirondack-park.net is down again (as of a couple days ago). I hope you can get it back in operation! It's a very useful site.

                      Thanks in advance.

Well it was great while it was up, but I guess it's gone. I know it's a lot of work to maintain a site. Thanks for the great site!

I just tried it again on your recommendation. It comes up as having an expired security certificate. I can open it in an "incognito window" but the antivirus program still says it's "unsafe."

So as useful as it was, I think I am still going to regard it as "down."

The next best thing is the various county GIS sites, so that is what I am using for now.

I’m not much of a computer tech guy but I think because it’s still running http as opposed to https. I don’t think that’s really that awful but it’s less secure.
