  • Tuff day at the office today?

I was canoeing on a small quiet river last june and heard a strange noise. When I located the noise I found this along the bank.
I should of let nature take it's course but the frog made eye contact with me and I had to help the poor guy out, so I helped him escape.

I can't remember if I posted this before but does anyone have ay good snake photo's they want to share?

    thats one ambitious snake.
He found himself wondering at times, especially in the autumn, about the wild lands, and strange visions of mountains that he had never seen came into his dreams.

David and I ran into this guy on the way to Hunter last summer. Just a simple Garter Snake but he smelled awfull and was real unfriendly to us

            snakes-ona-truck

Abandoned truck off a dirt road just west of the Pepperbox Wilderness. Look carefully just behind the plastic wind deflector on the truck's hood. There is a tail and a head, not from the same creature. There were 3 or 4 garter snakes basking themselves on the warm hood.

Taken on a trail in the Ha-de-ron-dah Wilderness, June 2004. In this case, I let nature take its course.

Not quite as wild as the rest but this snake was on the receiving end. We did rescue it and the second pic is the release.

The cat loves to bring home trophies. Then she leaves them for us to take care of.

Not the best picture (the lighting was real bad)

Taken near Cedar River Flow. Somewhere I have video of this encounter.
