One of those hikes where you wish your alarm clock never went off that morning.
Left the Coreys trailhead and it was raining. As soon as my wife and I headed up the Calkins brook trail it started...

I had no issues with the east peak, I went across the ridge and felt it was mostly open and nice hiking all the way to the east summit. Neil: On P100 this past winter was the canister strapping still...

Blue Ridges (3497' and 3436')

Best possible weather to hike yesterday. Nothing but blue sky and sunshine, gentle breeze and cool crisp fall weather. I took the old tote road out toward Dishrag pond from the NPT. At the very end...

I have been obsessed with Bigfoot my entire adult life and my hiking nickname is Bigfoot. Nonetheless, I do not believe it exists.
It would be cool as hell though if it did, I want it to exist, but...

That Pano is awesome!

I wonder if there will ever be a re-route of the Cliff herd trail? When I did it I literally could have swam in the mud up the mountain. You know the herd trail is in rough...

Good report! I really like Hoffman mountain - I was able to see Killington and Pico in Vermont really well from a peak out view when I was up there. Definitely a long whack, but not too dense when...

Behold, the worst route up Lost Pond + Hoffman and Texas Ridge last weekend

My wife and I climbed Hoffman and Texas Ridge Saturday. The hike was so insanely long; in fact, the hike is probably still going on.
It was longer than the Rolling Stones' career. Longer than any...

I climbed in Northern NH last Saturday and there was snow above 3200'. It was almost like an exact dividing line, where, below 3200' there was absolutely none (except in deep shaded gully's maybe).
