It was the flood of all the water out of Duck Hole when Irene broke the dam that brought this canoe here. I did the trail 3 weeks after Irene and the canoe was full of water.

They've been pretty good at taking that sign down when the road gets open, but a bit slow this year, I guess.

You can drive up to the area of the old Hogtown church and park in that vicinity...

A friend worked in the armed forces and did a lot of SAR. He always said that the best educator was a ticket. I'd add the cost of the rescue on top of it.
