Military supply, my son regularly wears one when he flies his USCG helicopter. They call them Gumby suits. They should also be avalable from sailboat supply houses, under safety gear.

official temp in Saranac Lake several miles from where we were tent camping was -32F. It warmed up to -16, ice was 39” thick, mid 1960s.
