I think it will be tough finding open water on ponds anywhere. Streams are open but the water temp on the WB Ausable the other morning was 38 degrees.

Took a look at a few places today.........Lake...

Took a look at a few places today.........Lake Clear,Little Clear, Little Green, Fish Cr Pond, Lower Saranac and a few other smaller ponds. All had ice solid to the shoreline. Saw a couple die-hards...

If you didn't want to go out to Fish Pond the trail around Bone Pond/ Little Green is nice. Then you could ski up to the St Regis / Little Clear Carry and retrace back down to the Fish Pond trail...

Little Clear/ Green Ponds 1-16-18

Nice conditions on the trails around these two ponds today. Well broken out and fast. I ran into "Connecticut Yankee" and his setter at the parking area.....nice meeting you John!
