We often get our first snow in October or November. A decade or 2 ago snow in early December would have been a safe bet- now, probably but no promises. We had 65 on xmas eve a couple years ago.

Casa re-opened a few years ago, seems to be doing a steady business.

Folks were definitely sad to see eat n meet close. The former owner has been "hosted" for a night by some other local places, like Origin Coffee here in SL (great place btw, check it out!)

living in the Tri-Lakes area, I'd say I've seen less than 10 bears.

Almost ran one over while mtn biking the Deer Pond Loop last year though... I'm not sure whether the bear or myself was more...
