You can get to upper via a carry off the Keese...

You can get to upper via a carry off the Keese Mills road. about a 1/2mile carry. There is also a launch off from rt 30 that is off a short dirt road about a mile up from lake clear.

sundowner would be a very good bigger water boat. Like said it will be a little pushed around in wind. I personally like sliding seats it allows you to trim the canoe with different sized paddlers....

There is a good trail to ledge, no longer have to go through the quick sand ha ha. I sank in waist deep in it years ago befor they moved the trail. It's a little tricky to find start of trail.
