That's a good idea. As thin, icy and firm as it could be, Pine Orchard could be good since it's not as hilly.

Thanks guys, I'll be staying in Speculator. I may bring lots of gear and decide where to go when I get up there. I could end up snowshoeing Snowy or xcountry at Garnett Hill if the bc is not ready.

I did Raybrook trail from Snow Bowl yesterday....

I did Raybrook trail from Snow Bowl yesterday. About 1 inch of fresh over a very lumpy firm base. Maybe an two inches in the best spots. Tough conditions in general but I'm glad I went out.

That route sounds great. I'm up for trying it some time. I'm planning on skiing up there next weekend; if the snow holds up. Let me know if you want to ski it.
