I was attempting to convey the large, road less, expanse of woods that we are blessed with. Haskell Rd. was a good catch ( Thx Montcalm) but private vs public land wasn't a concern in my day dream....

One could walk from Hinckley Reservoir to Blue Mt. Lake without encountering any improved road. And the only seasonal road one would have to cross is the Moose River rd.

The top image appears to be crown tipped coral, Clavicorona pyxidata. No idea about the second image. The third appears to belong to the genera of the "Pholiota" maybe Pholiota aurivella?

I concur with streamer's excellent post. The tree in the background in JV post image appears to be Black Cherry but the bark in the foreground could be Hemlock?
