There is a site to the East of one of the bridges you cross on your way up (SOBO). I cannot recall which creek/drainage off the top of my head. The site is upstream about 100 yds from the trail iirc.

Not sure how, but the atvs have been able to cross to the eastern side. I was close to the outlet 2 years ago (iirc) and a couple drove up on atvs from the western side.
