Hey wkies
Just did the Trail into Brooktrout Lake all they way to west Lake two weeks ago. That section is pretty good. A few blow-downs but nothing crazy.
Enjoy!

Deep Lake and Wolf Lake in West Canada?

Hello all
Wondering if there are decent campsites at one or either of these lakes? Also, how are the lakes for swimming?

Thanks in advance

Slipstream Wee Lassie

hello all
What are opinions on the wee lassie from slipstream? I might go look at one for purchase. Especially interested in converting it to use a single bladed paddle.
Thank you

Biting flies were tough last week on my canoe trip to Whitney area. Had a dragonfly come by and snag one for me. Maybe create a really thin leash to "enslave" a pet dragonfly?

Hey gmagnes

My family and I did the route you are proposing back in 2012. We took four days. After Pillsbury Lake the trail gets rough with a lot of blowdown. NPT was great. Good luck.

Water level in Oswegatchie?

Planning on doing the O. traverse in early August. I have heard that water levels can sometimes be low. If they are...are they ever "scrape and grind for miles" low or do-able?

Thanks

Dix Mtn. Wilderness is easy to get into (via the Elk Lake Road). You have a couple of peaks there and beautiful streams to enjoy. Some lean-to spots and tent camping.
