I saw a doe and her fawn one evening and again the next morning. Lots of hickory nuts and red oak acorns this year.

You might want to try Tupper/Simon/Raquette complex, which is close by LTL. It's motorboat friendly, but lots of times the place is very quiet.

I remember seeing old NYS range maps that excluded the Adirondack and Tug Hill regions as being suitable habitat. Aparently, turkeys are much more adaptable than biologists originally thought.
