Being acclimated to 14,000 feet makes a huge difference. I alpine run frequently at 13k+, so coming to a lower elevation you feel almost superhuman (cardio wise). Square Top is a great peak. I'm at about half of the Colorado Highest Hundred peaks, and now just 3 away from the 46. I just enjoy climbing all over.
