Dragon tail

Has anyone experimented with dragon tail? Seems like it’d make a deadly leech pattern?

What about eggstacy? I just got that yesterday for egg patterns but haven’t gotten to it yet

gmorin,
Just looked both up cause I never heard of either one. Thanks for the heads up! But waiting for some feedback on them, like you are. The eggstacy material sounds very real compared to the egg yarn.

Yeah I am really excited about the eggstasy it should be here this week I’ll tie some up and post some pics dry and wet. I guess you wrap it like chenille and it’s supposed to be fantastic.

Dragontail and eggstacy are going to be the names of the futuristic designer drugs in my next short story.

eggstasy is awesome. It's nothing special really its simply glo bug yarn secured by string. In other words it is glo bug yard chenille. it does finish with a little bit of a better look and is much easier to tie than a glo bug in my opinion. Big fan.

Most would say how could it be easier to tie than a glo bug because I feel like glo bugs are universally known as being simple to tie. I, however, simply hate tying them and can never seem to get them quite right or have them round out the way I'd like them to or the way they do on videos.

Such a wise guy. This from someone who couldn’t catch a trout if it jumped into his arms.

I have no idea why Glen suggests the video is for me and VTFlyfish. However, perhaps VTFF should submit photos of some of fish that he and Ross recently caught with flies that were tied with very natural materials.

There is nothing like the color blue when imitating the natural drift of eggs! Pictures to follow.

On the subject of dragon tails, they look pretty big to me. Too big for reasonable leech imitations.

Back onto new materials, has anybody tried Jelly or Chewing Gum from FNF?
https://www.fnflyfishing.co.uk/collections/all

very popular in the UK for worm imitations and Daphnia clusters. Check out the FAB fly.
