The trail clearing is actually an organized event (DEC approval, etc). It's scheduled for the first weekend in May so the trail won't be cleared (officially) in April. We're going to post the details soon. KWC is organizing this, so if you have any questions that can't wait you could PM him. This is one reason I asked redhawk early into planning if he could wait until that weekend in May, so we could combine efforts.

The 15th is better for me, but I can be there on the 14th as well. I just have to make sure I have a sitter for my Son.

I'm at Church on the North Bush Road in Caroga from 9-10, but I could be at the trail head by 10:45...If you guys want to push it back to 10:45, Sunday would work for me.

Or I could catch up if you took a moderate pace...
Your call...

Bryan,
I'm not planning any trail work...Not till May.

Hike unless you want to use a canoe as an umbrella

We could all get under it and look like a centipede.

trail work or

Regulations , regulations .
I've never considered cleaning a trail ( like cutting or pulling off falling trees , putting a boulder or a log in mud ... ) as a work , must be supervised .
Another thing , what special teams do ( restoring or protecting on a pro level ) - tnx . I regret , BTW , no more articles about it on http://www.adkhighpeaks.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=1015

I remember , last year , trying to google snow condition in Minnewaska , one of the first links I was getting , was a lawyers firm . Big one , from Manhattan . Injuries or death in States-Fed Park - what was their target ( or offer ) . Very easy for Minnewaska - if you were there , you know .
This messages are disappeared now . Somebody steps on the tail of that ugly creature ? Thanks Gods , anyway . Or we could expect block-posts on trail heads .

Sorry , Kim , just by the way .

Send me an email if I've got this wrong. I haven't been on in a while so I'm reading thorugh this rather quickly.
In to Whitehouse and back is about 26.6 miles. Even in great weather with good trail conditions, I don't think with a 10:45 start you could accomplish it in daylight.
