Anyone ever camp on site I005 (interior boat in site)

Booked it for over the 4th. I think we've been there years ago but can't remember. Seems it has a lean to and a brook flowing into pond next to it.

    Good Lord, man!
I can't remember the numbers of the campsites.
The first permanent campsite (a leanto) is located on the left, just past the narrows.
There's a tent campsite on the opposite shore. Nice place.
There's another leanto about half way up the lake on the right shore
There once was a leanto at the South Western end, I heard that it burned.
My friend Gordan Bushie built that leanto with Clarence Petty.
You all probably can't remember Petty or Gordan.
I'm privilaged to regard Gordan Bushie as a friend. Rest in peace, Gordan.

The Lean-to on the southwestern end was rebuilt a few years ago. It's across the bay from the old lean-to site, set up back in the woods (just off the snowmobile trail).

I remember Gordan, but I think I've been spelling his name wrong all these years. I first went to TP in 1985, and eventually took my dad there and we had a few good chats with Gordan. 'Never met Clarence Petty.

I think I know the new site, a little point on the other side of the small bay where the old leanto was located.

"Mr. Petty", that's what Gordan always referred to him, was Gordans boss.
Gordan told me that Petty always called Taylor Pond 'his pond".
He and Petty built the leanto (now gone) at the SW end of Taylor.
Gordan spent his working career at the iron mines of Lyon Mtn.
He told me stories of the work there.
Drilling vertical, overhead shafts through solid rock to connect horizontal shafts.
Ice cold water and rocks falling on their heads.
I have great respect for men like him.
I took Gordan and his son, Brian, fishing on Lake Ontario when i was running a fishing charter.
Gordan and I also took a few trips to Chazy Lake fishing for lake trout on his day off.
He was a true Adirondack man.
Reticent at first, but willing to share stories when i had his confidence.
