For a weekend in the Wilmington area, looks like a bit more distant Taylor Pond is a wilder setting than Wilmington Notch....less road noise, better sites for tenting, etc. But with any campground, you don't know til you are there if it is a loud partying type place with no enforcement of generators and late night revelry. Any experiences there appreciated this summer and not years ago please, since things change with the caretaker and Dec staff budget, plus social media.

I love Taylor Pond and just spent a night there a few weeks ago.
No bathrooms or showers, just privies should that be an issue. But, you can go down to Wilmington-Notch for that. There's also a few campsites and lean-tos around the lake.
Can be real windy if you intend to paddle. I couldn't get out of the eastern bay and that was at 6:30am. Only a few times have I experienced calm water there going back 32 years.Life's short, hunt hard!

The seasonal ranger (underpaid as he is) may have been intimidated by those folks.

Sorry, I can't jump on the bandwagon.
