Question Christian Lake (Powley-Piseco Rd)

Hoping to check out Christian Lake, off of Powley-Piseco Road this Sunday. Problem: Finding the elusive start to the trail. Anybody got any suggestions? Any help is much appreciated!

When MDB and I were at Sand Lake last year, we met a group of four young guys that had just come from Christian Lake. They said they had gone in and out from the road starting at a point nearly due E from the lake. I just looked at the topo maps, and indeed, that would be the route that makes sense. Up and over the draw just N of West Notch Mountain.
I'm sure someone else here will respond shortly, someone that has actually been there...
Have you cruised the Powley road slowly, to find any evidence of a foot path?

As you're going north on the Powley-Piseco Road there's a rock wall, part of West Notch Mountain, on your left. Just past the wall there's a trickle of water coming out to the road. Look for a tree with a "C" carved into it. The path starts there.

Thanks--made it to Christian Lake just fine...trip back --different story. Hard to pick the path back up. The path is really a herd path the follows a stream in the saddle between two mountains. Trouble is we found two other streams that looked a lot like the first. Wish we had thought to mark the trail going in.
