Southern paddle suggestions

Looking for ideas for a day trip this Saturday. I would like a quiet spot with access to a nice picnic site with no portages. Beaver dams ok. Big Bay near Piseco has always been somewhere I've thought of paddling so any info on that would be appreciated. Also can you paddle east off 10 at Big Bay? (We have done Fall Stream to Vly lake.) Thanks

How about the Jessup from Rt 30 to Dug Mt Brook falls? Last I knew, there's some deadfalls and a few beaverdams. You'll need to leave the boat for the last 1/4 mile or so. The falls are a great place to enjoy a lunch and the current is slack, so the return is easy.
