Nice work, Mike!

How about adding the rest of the Catskills 50 to make the NY 150 highest? Got to treat your home state special now, don't you?

Right now I'm working on my own list, The "Funky Freddy Fifty Finest" or the "4F Mountains Worth Repeating" list........ I'll probably do a 50 for the Northeast at first then break it up into a list for NY and a list for New England. I'll post them when I'm finished.

Not a bad idea....

.... but i would have to add the next 16 NY highest to get the top 150. Throwing in 16 Catskills would leave out higher ADK peaks.

Top 150

I am trying to make this into a NY top 150 list. I am looking for Catskill and ADK lists that go beyond 35 and 100 respectively, so I can do this. Just adding the next 16 ADK highest won't cut it. If anyone has a list, please let me know!

Thanks, Mike

special quality list v. altitude

having done [except the wrong summit in the sawteeth] the 100 adk peaks over the last 40+years, i have come to really appreciate those many special smaller [in altitude] summits that present special views &/or have features that stand out in other ways [eg. chimney]... a good ex. are the trinity of pine, green & ledge [all around 2000'] north of pottersville. amazing views, lots of very interesting slopes & tops w/ an undisturbed colvin survey bolt on one top.. this is just 1 ex. of what i would prepose as a "special qualities" list of mtns. in the Adirondacks.. certainly it would be somewhat subjective, but w/ lots of input, the really special places would make themselves known form the experiences of those who would venture out to find & experience them. Adirondack [not Dacks] 100
