No worries, come to think of it I believe Whitefang was malamute/wolf mix, not a husky.

Thanks for all the suggestions! We went with Jasper, after the Jasper Day trail in Old Forge Area. We can’t wait to bring him up to the ADKs

I know the dog is named already (I think Jasper is a neat name) -- but have to add that I met someone on the trail this year with a dog named Summit. I thought it was a fun name, for us peak-obsessed types.
