Same here. Right now I'm in my beat up worn out Montrail Hurricane Ridges, which Montrail discontinued. I'll probably try on the Hardrock soon. Overall, I like Montrail shoes.

I had to cancel this hike for this season due to a baby coming into the world and not being able to sync time up with neil. This hike is still on the burner though, and I cannot wait to try it. Getting ready for this hike though has been great for me. I've been running and hiking every day since this thread started, and I actually dayhiked the cranberry 50, in 15 hours and 10 minutes. I am dialed in as far as gear is concerned, and I am completely ready fitness wise for this hike. I just wish I could make a few days appear out of nowhere to get some back to back days for this. It's just not in the cards right now. This is till one of my favorite hikes in the adks, and I can't wait to take my son out for his first thruhike when he is ready. I think that won't be for about 10 years or so...I don't don't know if I can talk my other half into doing it again, but I think if I promise no bugs she'll do it...she liked the NPT better than the high peaks.
