Trade/swap seats from Old Town Guide/Discovery 158

Hi all-

New to the forum.

Anybody have an Old Town and want to trade canoe seats? I have plastic and would like either cane or nylon.

Here's the background:
I have an Old Town "Guide" 158 that I bought at Dick's Sporting goods a few years back. I realized after poking around on Old Town's website that the canoe I have is actually the "Discovery" 158, just renamed for Dick's Sporting Goods (I called Old Town for that info).

Anyway, one of the differences between them is the seats. I have the plastic molded seats with the backrest. I'd rather have the wood with cane or nylon webbing. They're available for purchase on the website, but I just thought I'd post here to see if anyone would like to trade. I hate to buy new seats and just let the plastic ones collect dust and end up in a landfill someday.

I understand your looking to trade...but if you decide to purchase wood framed seats, I'd suggest you take a look at what Essex Industries has to offer.

Essex Industries at one time did make all the seats that Old Town, Dagger and Wenonah Canoe put in their canoes. They do have a website you can buy directly from. I worked there several years, although it has also been several years since I have. They do quality work!
