Native Brookies

Landed my first two Adirondack heritage strain brookies Sunday afternoon fishing out of my kayak. This is the smaller one. The other was bigger and by a decent amount, however I wanted to release it quickly, didn't check the picture and it caught mostly glare reflected from the water's surface. Man, they are colorful!

Nice pic. In the Fall those brookies get even prettier than they already are..they have a way of matching the season. Congrats on your success

Beautiful colors! I too will be making my way up there this weekend for some beautiful brookies. Nothing beats fall fishing.

Nice fish! Beautiful colors. I got 2 this fall but lost both before a picture so they don’t count. The bellies were whiter too.

Definitely getting out this weekend! Looks like it's going to cool down and as of today Saturday looks to be the better day, but of course that can change.
