Nothing to see here. Just another summer's day at ADK Loj.

Far fewer cars than at a typical mall ... and people getting far more exercise.

Only problem is that mall security may have more headcount than what NYS has provisioned for the entire High Peaks.

Bottom line: trend line up for Placid/Keene/Keene Valley revenues. No worries here. Growth is good.

I had no idea it was that bad on the weekends. I can see why the rangers are understaffed.

That was the South Meadows Road after the 6th car, I assume.

As the video stops before finishing the line of cars, I wonder how much further it went.

+1. Good for the hikers, good for the economy.

What is bad about this is that it needs proper management, and it's not currently getting that.

Exactly. The state spends on marketing but doesn't spend on the increased management costs from additional use caused by their marketing. Like the peekamoose trailhead and blue hole down in the catskills. Although that was probably the result of too many "Amazing secret swimming holes you have to see to believe!" type articles.

High Peaks crowds...and to think I didn't see anyone else this weekend while parked at a popular trailhead in The Great South Woods.

Forecast says high 30's his weekend. Yes, I am still here. Was deep jigging for lake trout today on Seventh Lake.
