Wedding Venues

Hey everybody,

My newly minted fiancé and I are in the search for wedding venues. The Adirondacks mean a ton to both of us and we would really like to tie the knot in the park. Does anyone have any recommended wedding venues within the blue line?

Congratulations. It should be a fun time. I trust you are looking for a commercial facility to hold the ceremony and festivities. Surely you can find one to you and your fiancé's liking.

But in case you are entertaining other (wilder) plans, you should know according to official NYSDEC rules and regulations Part 190.8 that: (ae) On State lands, no person shall sponsor, conduct or participate in: advertising, weddings, commercial film making activities or film making activities that exclude other public use of the area, and other similar events, except under permit from the department.

Good Luck.

Went to a nice one at Jimbo's Club on Brandt Lake (Rt. 8). Lots of cottages for guests. Must be a ton of places similar that will work for a location convenient for you.
Good luck and congratulations.

My nephew was married and had the reception at the Whiteface Lodge in November 2015.
It was extremely well catered and presented...no idea what the budget was.

Woods In

Woods Inn in Inlet has a nice venue for weddings. Lots of photo apps looking out on 4th Lake. Large under cover area with open sides looking out over the lake. Frequent weddings there.

The Mountain House in Keene has long been a popular wedding venue:

For whatever reason, their website is currently down:

Could try the phone: (518) 576-4704

Not sure about weddings but a certain bachelor party at Cronin’s Golf Resort in Warrensburg was a lot of fun a few years ago, just sayin’.

My older son's wedding took place at John Brown's Farm just outside of Lake Placid in the field next to the barn. They had a tent just in case it rained. Reception was held at Whiteface Mtn (the ski area) & they catered the reception ... it was early June.

There was a wedding on Whiteface a few weeks ago, when I was up there.... It wasn't at the peak (elevator down), it was at the parking level.

The Bark Eater Inn in Keene likes to do weddings while Ibelieve the Mountain House is a more "reluctant" venue.

Oak Mountain

Oak Mountain in Speculator does a lot of weddings at the summit. They use the chairlift to get everyone up there. I hear they do a good job, photos on their website.

Echo Lake Lodge in Warrensburgh and Dunhams Bay Lodge on the east shore of Lake George both specialize in weddings, including an outdoor theme. I was involved in organizing a confernce for 70 people at D-Bay a few years ago. They do a great job.

Congratulations on your engagement!

As others have mentioned, there's Jimbos / Brant Lake Camp on Brant Lake: https://www.jimbosclub.com/destination-weddings

The Barn at Lord Howe Valley in Ticonderoga: https://www.barnatlordhowevalley.com/

There's a gorgeous stone chapel not far from the Barn: https://www.ticonderoga360.com/valle...l-ticonderoga/

Earlier in September we saw them setting up for a ceremony on the beach at Roger's Rock Campground in Hague.

If budget isn't an issue, there's always The Sagamore on Lake George: https://www.thesagamore.com/
