Parking at South Meadow

Hello all,

Just a quick question about the parking at south meadow. It's been a few years since we have driven up from Jersey and wanted to do a quick walk/hike to Marcy Dam area.

Last time we were up the road leading to South Meadow was closed at Adirondack loj road adding distance to Marcy dam. Time is a little tight this trip and I was wondering if the dirt road to south meadow parking is open or will we have to walk all the way in from loj road?

Thanks in advance,

Dethshil

Yes, the road is open to the parking area at the end, or park near the trailhead which angles off to the right where there is a barrier.
