I didn't have much success Wednesday night with lunar eclipse shots, so I tried again last night. I fooled around with different shutter speeds with f4.0. At .6 shutter speed I got this shot. The moon is too bright but what is the blue-green orb? Is that a reflection of the moon?

Hey Esel!
The green orb is a reflection off one of the internal lenses of the camera. Looks like you over exposed the shot. The moon is brighter then you think... I have a FotoSharp Existing light Exposure Guide, and if you had your ISO set at 100 (film speed) you should have 1/125 of a second at f16 +/- 2 stops.
Here's the guide: http://fotosharp.com/day_night_exposure_calculator.html I've been using this guide for years, and it's pretty close on film. I'm not sure how well it translates to digital. I'm assuming it would be close.
I usually use the guide, and then bracket exposures +/- 2 stops, and take the best shot.
