Can one bicycle the first 1.8 mile "road" towards Santanoni?

My wife and I are headed to the Bradley Pond Leanto. I forget from when I did Santanoni if one is allowed to bike from the parking area the first 1.8 road-type part of this route that leads to Bradley Pond from the Upper Works Rd.

Unless something has changed very recently, the road is part of a designated foot trail so that means walking and skiing in winter.

If I'm not mistaken, for the members of the sporting clubs who still hold leases, they can unlock the gate and drive in with cars and snowmobiles (so probably bikes as well).

That land is currently unclassified, held up with other tracts by Boreas Ponds negotiations. I saw motor vehicle tracks this week, but that does not mean bicycles are allowed. You would have to ask the Forest Ranger, Dell Jeffreys, I think.

Beavers have flooded the road at the first pond, but it wasn't too bad. That could change with industrious beavers working 24X7.
