Virus Threat?

New in the last day or two:

When I first go to ADKForum front page (Google Chrome, all caches clear), I get a message from Avast that says it has secured a virus threat:

HTML: RedirDL-inf [Trj]

with the URL: www.adkforum.com/misc.php?v=384&js=js

This only appears when first going to the page.

Interesting. I'm using Chrome and Avast (on a mac) and don't see anything similar.

Yeah, none for me as well.

By the way, newbie here as well. Whenever I'm taking a break from this particular interest, I'm usually found at home, treating my Pomeranian to his nylabone and watching TV with my brother. Such a simple, yet, happy life. Cheers, everyone!

I get it too, now, but only if I hit your link. Not if I just hit www.adkforum.com.

If you go to virus total and plug in that url, you get one hit, from an engine I've not heard of.

https://www.virustotal.com/#/url/5d0...d0d2/detection

Can't say I've seen that one either (with the same virus program, Avast).

Might depend on the anti virus settings, perhaps?

Maybe. No worries.

I was traveling at the time - this was on a relative's PC with Windows 7, Chrome and Avast. I don't know what the various settings were.

There is definitely something floating around out there connected to ADKForum. The other thing that happens sometimes when traveling, using a "foreign" PC, is that instead of opening ADKForum, a "File Store" site will open. I don't know what that is, but I always close it and try again to actually get to our site here...

Hmm, sounds like some sort of glitch to me.
