It's a great area, been in there many times. Adjacent to the Pepperbox and Five Ponds Wildrerness areas. For a nice change of pace from the overcrowded and over regulated High Peaks.

I think this area is on my summer planning short list. Nice week long canoe trip probably.

Area is a great area for a canoe trip combined with a backpack into some of the ponds. Canoe to the bridge over the Osewgatchie where the trail to the Five Ponds starts; setup a base camp and hike into the ponds for a night or two.
