When does Jessup river rd close? Cedar River Road close for season?

Anyone know when Jessup River Rd (out by Pillsbury) and Cedar River Road into the Moose River Plains close/gates shut for the winter?

Usually after the hunting season ends.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the info. It would suck to get all the way over there and then find the gate shut down. Glad to know there's still some more time. Thanks again!

I believe the Moose River Plains will get closed earlier than the end of hunting season depending upon snow. Its my understanding that if a large snowfall is expected, the DEC notifies those camped along the road that they have to vacate.

The Moose River Plains roads aren't plowed. There is a regulation that says that anyone entering the plains after Columbus Day must have either tire chains or 4WD. I don't think that the gates get closed until after hunting season, but if you get stuck in the snow back there you might be waiting until spring to get your vehicle out.
