I'd be interested in hooking up for a section, but can't get the time this year for a thru-hike.

Cause I forgot to say this, I will most likely (as in 99.999998%) be starting at Placid and heading south.

Hawk, when's the Pow Wow?

Looking at a leave date of 8/16-17 or 8/23-24, dependent on the variable of company.

Is it August yet?

The first date would work for me. Maybe the second, also. I'd have to be out before Labor Day weekend.

I can't do May because we are expecting in Mid-month. I basically have decided on August 2-10th. Can't do the whole thing due to a partners schedule. Will leave from Benson and finish in Long Lake. Anyone is welcome to Join. Decided to skip Long Lake to Placid because the last day from Duck Hole sucks (13+ miles) and we didn't want to miss the isolation of West Canada Wilderness. (302) 536-1031 if you would like to join a couple of dirty teachers and a filthy roofer, all males, ages 24,35,37. Trust, me when I say it will be a blast! Big fires, practical jokes, and maybe even some boozin' among other things. Hilarous arguments are always a treat for the newcomer. Good natured women are always welcome!!!!!!!!

FYI ... an early heads up

if you'd like to join in and help with some NPT trail maintenance, there will be a "work day" on Saturday, May 31st, for the Benson to Rock Lake section of the trail. We'll be clearing drainage, minor blowdown, etc.

If you'd like more info, send me a PM.

Meeting time, etc., will be posted in early May.

Greg--August is tough for me, but I'll try. Last time was big fun, and I wouldn't want to miss out.

Wait, so this is a girls vs guys thing now?

afaik, this isn't a girl thing. open invitation for anyone with ability to wander through the woods.

unless you're afraid of nasty girl germs or something.

Just busting chops.

I really afraid you'll make me look bad.

I was checking on the dates though.

Hey Rickie.

I'm no speed demon either. I like to stop and smell the roses and the ferns, and the violets, and the....well, you get the idea.
