Cedar River Flow Fishing

Is Cedar River Flow a warm water bass type fishery or a cold water trout fishery? Planning a solo canoe camping fishing trip for Thursday through Labor Day at the end of the month but have not decided where, but I want to know what kind of tackle to bring if I decide to go there....

Thanks!

Phil

Cedar River is a cold water fishery. Because SMB are adaptable, you may find them anywhere. Spring holes in the Cedar river should hold brook trout. Those that remain in August, have seen a lot of lures over the summer. Itís a beautiful area, even if you donít catch anything.

"Cedar River Flow contains brown trout and can be accessed via the DEC boat launch at Wakely Dam." DEC switched from Brook Trout to Browns a while ago, there may be some natives, but the stockers are browns.

Ya want us to come up and bait yer hook fer ya?
