Long View Lodge????

Does anyone know what happened here? Is the lodge for sale still. My dad uses stay here in the 50s on his futile Adirondack Deer Hunts. Sad to see it no longer open. Saw it when we were up in October....

Wonder if someone will make a go of it again?

A simple Google search found that it is now known as "Quackenbush's Long View Lodge" and got some positive reviews, unlike some poor reviews in the past under a previous owner.
There is a phone # and a website, give it a shot.

The reviews are all several years old. Was by in October 2013 and it looked like it was closed up and possibly for sale. Due to the fact that it has been around for a long time, I thought someone would know what happened or if there were plans to re-open it.

I think it was just recently sold. At least it's not listed for sale anymore with Long Lake Realty. Going up in two weeks & rent from the owners of LL Realty so see what I can find out.

I heard it was quite a nice place for awhile (the Quackenbush). Offered dining as well as lodging, but two or three years ago the owner became extremely ill and his children (son) are not interested in carrying on with the family business.

It's been for sale for awhile... I just got back from Long Lake yesterday, and it looks even more run down this year from last year.

We were married there in 2012, that following winter the person running it never
Winterized the place and all the pipes burst causing a lot of damage. The former
Owners of one of the hotels up there bought it this spring. Not sure when they will reopen tho
