Another brook trout outting

30 miles of hiking down for brookies this year and nothing to complain about. We mainly focus on monoculture ponds and love those heritage fish. Besides a few smaller eaters, they all go back. Here's a few from last trip.

Somewhere around 45 miles for me so far, adding to it in the morning. 90% of the ponds I fish are brookie only also. They taste so much better without bait fish in the ponds and the difference in the color of the meat is amazing.

Congrats again...beautiful fish!

No just casting artificial's, we were going to buy a few cheap walmart 5wts but never ended up doing it which was a mistake on our part as there was a lot of surface activity. We have terrible luck 90% of the time so i usually don't take my high end stuff that far back. My buddy actually put a hole in his brand new ultra light on the hike in.
