Blue Mountain summit guide/steward/intern/interpreter?

This article from 2009 shows a summit guide on Blue Mountain Wednesdays through Sundays in August.

Is the program still active?

Thanks,
AP

Looks like the program was active at least through the summer of 2013 according to this picture dated Jan 2014.

Says the summit guide is present during the "summer".

Met one on the summit of "Poke-o" this past Sat. An early season start since she was local - she said.

AFAIK, the summit stewards on the Fire Tower Peaks aren't part of any comprehensive steward program (like the ADK's summit stewards in the High Peaks). Whether a fire tower peak has a steward or not depends largely on whether the Friends group associated with that specific peak has the money to hire one.

Both Arab and Hadley Mountains have also had stewards for several years now.
