I'm very jealous I would have loved to see moe. (one of my favorite bands lately). The song Nebraska is constantly getting stuck in my head. Well I didn't get to see them but I'm seeing Gov't Mule in November and they have done touring with moe. in the past.

I did see that too. ....Don't think I'll make it though.
After thier other 4 year hiatus, and after all the "never again" talk, and the crying and disappointments of Coventry, I'm not sure if it can ever be the same again. At least for me.
Sounds like it would be fun anyway.

Run for the hills, the hippies have returned!! (oh, wait...)
Did you get yours? I just got an email that says I didn't get my pre-order.

I got 2 tix for all three nights. Kind of like winning the lottery--too bad all the hotels are filled up already. Only one other person I know got the preorder tix, and I know at least 100 folks that tried. Looks like alot of folks are going to be online tomorrow morning at 10am looking to buy. Too bad that stubhub, the evil ticket enterprise will somehow end up with 5000 tix for each night looking to rape fans out of thier hard earned cashola. Anyway, if you folks end up in Virginia next march, I'll be the bearded guy with a VW Jetta with a 46er sticker in the window...

As a side note--I live in Oswego and the word on the street is that someone put in for a multiday summer concert at the airport for summer 09. Looks like a return to camp Oswego...

Just looked at stubhub to see how bad they're raping fans--tix start at 385 and go up to 6500 per ticket. So technically I'm sitting on 6 gold plated tix. Better make sure I lock my car every night while I'm inside.

Hey Doug - dd you make it back yet? How was the show?

It made the CNBC news yesterday - apparently the cops say they confiscated over $1M worth of "illicit substances" during the shows!

Dude, thanks again for corrupting the moe.down thread!

For the record here...
Even though moe. and Phish may share a lot of the same fans, I think that they are very different from each other. Sure they're both considered "Jam Bands", but I believe moe. is much more rock oriented, and not as much of the jam out into space and let the jams go on forever and get weirder and weirder type thing, and seem like you'd only be able to enjoy if you were trippin' out on acid or something!
I think moe. is much more like the jam styles of the 70's, similar to those extended jams you would get from Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, Lynard Skynard, early Aerosmith, etc.
I like to think that moe. and the moe.down is much more about the "live music experience" interest, having fun, and enjoying the weekend and meeting some new friends and meeting up with some familiar faces.
If you like to drink beer, there's always a good brewery involved.
Sure there's your share of drug users amongst the crowd, as is the case at many concerts!

Although I'm not as big of a fan of Phish as I once was, I am definitely interested in hearing about the reunion shows. If I'm lucky, I may be able to catch the show in Hartford.

I just hope if someone here is curious about the moe.down, don't think that the moe.down is all about drugs and Phish fans when it is not!

Yeah, there are definitely a bunch of crazies there, but it's really just about having fun, watching live music from many different bands with varying styles of music, camping, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, .... you now, fun stuff!
