Church on Indian Carry Road

Anyone know anything about this structure? It appears to be an old church, close to Rt. 3. Beautiful architecture.

Any info. would be appreciated, I've driven by it (on 3) many times and never knew it was there, so now I'm curious.

There is a church that holds services on Sundays in the summer on an island on Upper Saranac Lake, near Indian Carry. I believe there is a shuttle boat that takes worshipers to the island from Indian Carry and back again. Not sure if it's related to the church on the shore though...

I happened to be paddling one Sunday morning near the Indian Carry landing as 3 large pontoon boats loaded with well dressed worshipers came in to the small dock. I learned they were returning from the island services. Darn near swamped me (but a little prayer helped).

This thread makes me wonder.... was there ever a church on Chapel Pond in Keene? How did that body of water get its name?
