Fished 2 ponds yesterday at ‘not so high’ elevation. 2 trout were caught and a smattering of short hits. Most of the ponds I checked out still had varying degrees of ice on south ends and water was cold. I talked to other people and they said slow fishing as well. It was nice to get out but realistically another week is needed to get the water temps up. Blue Mountain Lake was still iced over but Fulton chain is out for those interested.

Glad it wasn’t just me. One of the 2 ponds I fished Gave me great numbers, but all dinks. It’ll get better. I chalked it up as being glad to have gotten out....until I lost the trail AGAIN. wasn’t in the mood for a bushwhack. Perhaps the fish heard my anger on my way in and put them down

Had my first trip with a rod. Really nasty winds on Friday night and into Saturday.
