Blue Mountain Lake
I was just curious to know is there a public boat launch on BML? Also has anyone done the canoe/kayak race there as well?
Looks like a great paddle BML, Eagle Lake and Untowana whether you are racing or just paddling. Joe

I did a leisurely 2 night trip from Blue Mountain Lake to Raquette Lake years ago. We launched across the street from the Blue Mountain Lake Fire Department. I believe this is a public launch due to the fact that there is a DEC trail register there

BML Launch
Thank you for the information, I greatly appreciate it. Paddling down to Untowana looks like a fun adventure. Where did camp if I may ask?
Joe

We camped at the lean-to on Utowana Lake the first night and one of the lean-tos on Big Island in Raquette Lake the second night. The lean-to on Utowana was ok, you could hear cars and see their headlights as they drove by on Route 28. The main thing I remember about camping on Big Island is 2 glowing eyes staring back at me while I was "using the tree" before bed lol (it was probably just a raccoon)

Yes, that's definitely a public launch site. Public rest rooms across the street. Nice beach and picnic pavilion as well. I've paddled to Utowana and back from BML. It is a beautiful trip.

Done Raquette to Blue a few times and paddled Blue on it's own a few more. Nice lake. I like the northern end out by the islands. Caught a laker once a deep hole out there. And yes, the beach is open to the public.
