Recommendations for ADK lodges to stay at

Hey everyone, I was looking to take the wife to the ADKs this labor the weekend and was wondering if anyone had suggestions or recommendations as to where to find lodges in the ADKs or if there are specific lodges, or even places where you could rent a cabin for 2 nights? Somewhere in the southern half of the ADKs (no higher than Indian Lake).

Try Garnet Hill or the places below Gore on Peaceful Valley Rd.

Located just above Northville in Benson, http://www.laplandlake.com/

I have stayed there a few times during the ski season. Nice cozy cabins, lake, trails etc.

Looks like they have some vacancies but you may need to book 3 nights during the holiday weekend.

White Pine Camp. Stay in the Coolidge Lodge for posh, or the Hermit's cabin for a rustic feel. Worth the trip a bit farther north (Paul Smith's area) than you indicated.

I've enjoyed stays here a number of times in the past, on the shores of Lake Vanare just outside Lake George. Not sure of their availability for Labor Day Weekend, but there are also a few other lodging facilities nearby as well... http://visitadirondacks.com/lodging/...place-cottages
