Hiking Hunts and Pigeon Runs-Waterfall Wonderland (SGL 13)

A few weeks ago, I did two off trail*hikes in a section of the Waterfall Wonderland, one of PA's crown jewels.* This is located in SGL 13 and features several deep gorges with numerous waterfalls, big trees, isolation, and cliffs.* There are amazing swimming holes and beautiful bedrock grottos.* I explored two tributaries, Hunts and Pigeon Runs,*with several waterfalls, old growth hemlocks, and cliffs.* The Falls of the Hemlocks was particularly scenic due to its rugged, isolated setting among*ancient hemlock trees, blooming hobblebush*and red trilliums.* One of the most beautiful places in the mid atlantic.
