No problem on the sound here.
My wife loves the videos also....she doesn't feel they are complete unless you tip the canoe over however....perhaps more splashing next time...lol
Keep em coming man...it's an inspiration...especially when its' sub zero and I'm not leaving the house for another 25*

Haha...thanks Matt.
Only a bit of some cabin camping for me in the near future, and I’m sure many people here were hoping that I was going to slip off of that little log & fall into the water.

Sound is a little lower than most of your videos, watching from an iPad.

I love those Christmas lights. The dollar store version last just as long as fancy Eno Twilights.

Thanks Blues.
Bill is always out & about, and it was funny how we ran into him when Russ & I were dropping off one of our vehicles at our finishing trailhead. It was completely unplanned, and oddly enough, that has happened a few times now.

interesting. It sounds fine on my phone via facebook and youtube, but it's definitely lower volume on my macbook. I can still hear it, but everything is maxed -- computer volume and youtube volume and it's pretty quiet.

How cold did it get at night? I kinda wanted to stay at that first lean-to you went by. Looks like a nice spot.

Due to its proximity to Old Forge, it can get busy out there.

Good thing is, it's pretty much a bushwhacking paradise. Off trail travel is easy in the fall and winter. It gets a little thicker in summer, but not impenetrable.

This area usually gets a pretty good snowpack by mid-winter, so all those logs and small streams become buried and it's smooth sailing. You'll still get the occasional boulder field or fresh blowdowns that you'll have to skirt around, but it's mostly low rolling hills, a few marshes and hardwood forest.

I cut out a morning clip where I said it was 18F, and it was a little breezy in between snow showers so it felt much colder. Russ mentioned that the Middle Branch lean-to can be very breezy, after all, it is out on a point on the east side of the lake, and facing the lake. He also mentioned how rain/snow will sometimes blow right to the back of the lean-to. Gathering firewood there might also be a little work, as it was at Middle Settlement.

He must get out there often, I've seen his name in the register there everytime I've been out.

I’m pretty sure he’s been doing some AWA work in that area recently.

This was years past. I haven't been up there at all this year or last.

It's good to know he still goes.

Was that your first time out there Justin? You probably said in the video, but I missed it.
