After reading all these stories and the links along with them, I think I'll have nightmares tonight!!! Thank Goodness my husband is home.

While I was camping this weekend I stopped in Indian Lake at the Hardware store where a few locals were gathered around talking to the shop keeper. I forget what road they were on but I overheard them talking about a bigfoot sighting last week, crossing the road and they caught it in their headlights as it casually crossed the road.

IMO I still say it could be possible, the park is a big place

I heard that "whooping" noise commonly associated with big foot calls when I spent the night in the park. All I know is that no howling creature has ever made that whoop before, that I'm aware of. It almost sounded like an Indian, but was too loud for human lungs (and too late at night!)

Its funny how these discussions always degenerate.
To answer the original question here is a book that does a good job of documenting various sightings throughout New York and Vermont beginning from colonial times to the 1990's.

"Monsters of the Northwoods"
by Paul Bartholomew, Robert Bartholomew, William Brann, Bruce Hallenbeck

hey cityboy, I can bet that book you found could use a few more chapters in it!

Just before WWII, the government was doing experiments knowing that war was about to happen for the US of A, there was a plane crash, a bomber, that crashed near the bog river and never found ....... strange things have been sighted ever since. I have more about this story, and quite a few more pics .....
this was sighted and photographed (by me) at bog river falls a few years back.

How's this?

There was no bugs or pollen or birds floating around. This was about 10 feet in front of me and roughly the size of a large cantaloupe or a small volleyball. I hiked out of here a little faster then when I walked in. Swiz

I posted the originals on antique-bottles.net after I first took the pics. Shortly after that my computer crashed and I lost everything. I found my original post and saved the pics from the antique-bottle.net site and added a copy to photobucket just to make sure that I had them. Unfortunately I don't have the originals any more. I do plan on trying to get some more pics up here in the future. Hopefully I'll catch the orb again. David Pitkin a haunted story writer has the only pics that I got developed right after the pics were first taken. Those are both 8x10's. I wish I did have the originals. I can email you what I got or if you want just save these ones from here. I don't have any copy-write on them or anything. Other then take you to this place, then that's about the best I can offer you. Swiz
