Personally I think think this thread should be locked until late December.

Maybe a poll should be set up.

First skiable snow, using rock skis, will be the week before Christmas. The first good day with a decent base will be mid January. Where? Paul Smiths area.

For me the first usable snow will be after deer season.....but my skis will be ready just in case....lock it up ???? we're having fun....enjoy

My son and I skied two and a half feet of heavy powder on October 29th, a few years back.
It could happen again!!

Hell yeah, this summer heat & humidity has been murder for many of us who work a lot outside.
Can’t wait for the Fall & Winter months!
I’d be happy with a good early to mid December dumping.
