Pretty Bad Conditions In Moose River Plains...

I read an article in the Hamilton Co. news online addition that said power was out in the Inlet area and that a state of emergency existed. They had 16 inches of heavy wet snow. Many hunters were stranded in the plains and had to be rescued by the Ranger and DEC personnel by snowmobile.

This may make getting around in the woods a bit tricky with all of the blow downs.

Must've just missed it. My wife & I were camped past Mitchell Ponds Tues-Friday last week. Lots of rain & flurries but no more than a dusting of snow on ground.
